UPDATE: Congrats to Jyoti and Katie K. for winning!!!

    • Kiera A.

My favorite Drake verse is “Everybody talks and everybody listens and somehow the truth just always comes up missing”. I love this quote so much because it has so much truth. People talk so much and nothing ends up coming out of their mouth except lies.

    • Kmi13bby

This is sooooo hard to choose, but I think I’ll go with The Calm because I could truly feel all the emotion he poured into that song. I get chills reciting it. The opening “I’m just so far gone, october’s own, please leave me alone.” Put me in tears the first time I heard it. That song is like a crutch I lean on when I feel stressed. Its a classic and anybody can relate to that song. And the hope it gives to listeners is just everything. @Millagram13

    • Oh_mySHEEK

favorite drake song: Closer to my dreams. describes my life right now, i’m one step in the door but not all the way there just yet. i feel like drake felt at the time of recording he was getting noticed but he wasnt exactly famous he was just getting a taste of fame and thats how i feel right now in my lofe w/ my career. i’m amost there, but not just yet.

    • Jasmine

My favorite Drake song is 9 AM in Dallas because just when people thought Drake was getting soft, he came out with that track. Not only did he just come out with it, he KILLED IT. He proved people who doubted him wrong. He proved that he can still rap and that his best work is ahead of him, not behind him. All the lyrics are understandable. He addressed every single thing said about him and he really hit the nail on the head. With that track, I think he answered so many questions.

    • RD

My favourite Drake song has to be Look What You’ve Done. It’s such a genuine song, exposing some of Drake’s deepest feelings and who doesn’t love an artist that trusts his fans so much that he’d write such a personal song? Plus the ending of the song with the recording of his grandmother just reminded me of my grandfather who’s at a nursing home and it brought me so much peace just to hear that bit.

    • http://profile.yahoo.com/EAK6ZKNNDKIKCIBRDHNU4VB3FI Cherisa Moore

My favorite Drake song is Doing It Wrong off of TakeCare. The song has so much truth to it. when ever i am going though anything i just put on this song and relax.

    • GovSK

My favourite Drake verse is “Look What You’ve Done” first and second verse, because this for me was one of Drake’s most emotionally “open” verses, where he spilled his emotions and moments in his life which (until then) no one really knew about. I honestly get chills when I listen to his Grandmother speak at the end, knowing its all about family for Drake, and how he has managed to keep them all happy.

    • Dapheneymartinez

My favorite Drake song is Look What You’ve Done. Like he does in most of his songs, he shares experiences from his life. That song is personal and him sharing with his fans just brings us closer to him. When I saw him perform this song the emotions were there and just made the song that more amazing than it already is.

    • Takeya Strong

Wow that’s a good question, Lawd! Well my favorite Drake song would definitely have to be F.E.A.R! I don’t know what it is about that song but I just LOVE it. I guess it’s just the message and versatility in that song. It’s just a song you can relax and unwind to 

    • http://twitter.com/niyamariexo Niya

My favorite drake verse is …

“They say it’s on when they see me, that day don’t ever come
I’m never scared, they never real, I never run
When all is said and done, more is always said than done” -Club Paradise

Drake is just so real, he always finds a way of saying something everyone’s been trying to say.

    • http://twitter.com/Mia_YuupXo x ♥ o .

Favorite song would probably be Something.. nah, Look What You’ve Done … okay, i don’t have one favorite song.. I love them allll!! Most of his songs, i felt related to my life so well, simply because the lyrics explain my situation <3 Everyone, can relate to a Drake song , whether or not they listen to him . That's why I love every song , even the older songs like " The Calm" ," The Resistance "," Thank Me Now" ," Fireworks" , and etc are still classic hits , mainly because they show the true emotions Drake feels throughout his fame . Thanks again #TeamDrizzy <3

    • Zain Dharani

One of my favorite songs by Drake has to be Fear off of So Far Gone. The song made me fully appreciate Drake as an artist and was one of the songs that made me like him, I thought the song was creative and intriguing.

    • Michelle B.

i think i should be one of the 2 winners because i have been an Aubrey Fan since his Degrassi days, back when he was little Jimmy in love with Ashley. i knew he would make it way beyond Degrassi he just had that raw talent anyone could see. My favorite verse is from the Aston Martin Music Extended Version or (Paris Morton Music) “I never threw away that paper with my Grammy Speech
because I haven’t hit the pinnacles I plan to reach..” it just shows how much passion he has for his career and the amazing goals he’s set for himself and he wont stop until he reaches them. Even then he still wont stop because their will be another goal he has set for himself. He is an all around amazing artist and that is why that it my favorite Drake Verse. :)

    • http://twitter.com/AyannaJuliettt #teamdrizzy

My favorite Drake song is “Fear” I feel like that song is so powerful and meant alot to him. It definetly connects with your emotions. When i listen to it i have an image of him performing this song with lots of energy. This is one of the songs that made me appreciate how honest he is. My favorite verse on the song “But Its funny having fans, they find you before anybody ever has the chance, they build you up so you can be the biggest in the game & realise when your there sometimes that shit don’t feel the same” :)

    • Team Drizzy Alicia

My favorite Drake song would have to be “Look What You’ve Done” because even though we have similar songs like “The Calm”, LWYD goes into details. We’ve heard about his life but we’ve never really known the details up until this songs. I like how he was open about his love for his mother and uncle. I love the fact that he isn’t afraid to show emotion and to let us, the listeners into his life. I really appreciate this song for so many reasons and the first would have to be because I can relate. And the voice mail at the end was beautiful. That is why I love this song so much.

    • http://twitter.com/KeightyOVO September’s very own

My favorite Drake song is Bria’s interlude. It came close with look what you’ve done. The reason I love this song is actually kind of funny and nerdy at the same time. Me and a bunch of my closest friends live in all different parts of the world and communicate via Skype and other means. So should any of us ever happen to date, it would always be a long distance relationship. In the song Drake talks about flying out to see his girl, then having to leave on a plane to go back to where he came from, and that’s what we would always have to do if we wanted to spend time with each other. So every time that song came on, I would think about sitting, waiting for the plane, and that crazy feeling you get when you’re leaving someone you love behind. When I expressed this to my friends, they had the same feelings. So we decided Bria’s interlude is our theme song. It’s crazy how many ways a person can find to relate to Drake’s lyrics!

    • sunita dharani

Ah I can not pick my favorite Drake song or verse, but one of my favorites is Karaoke. I loved seeing him incorporate both singing and rapping into that song and mastering in both. I love his story telling and his ability to make others feel how he felt through his music. I could sense his emotions. That song was probably the most played out of Thank Me Later.

    • Muna175526

My favourite Drake song of all time has to be ‘The Resistance’ of his Thank Me Later album. It’s the one song that I can personally relate too. I’ve learned that you have to sacrifice some of your old ways in order to reach your true goals and dreams.

    • Gurbani

All of Drakes songs are my favorite. But I would have to say one of the top ones is “The Resistance”. Everything about that song is perfection to me. The lyrics are incredible. I especially love “I heard they just moved my grandmother to a nursing home. And I be acting like I don’t know how to work a phone. But hit redial you see that I just called, some chick I met at the mall, that I barley know at all and.. Plus this woman that I messed with unprotected Texting saying that she wish she would’ve kept it. The one that I’m laying next to just looked over and read it. Man I couldn’t tell you where the fuck my head is, I’m holding on by a thread it’s..” He seriously killed it in this song.. Then again he always does! His music keeps me going some days.

    • Jyoti

definitely a hard pick, but my favourite drake song of all time is brand new. not only does the production on this song give off that chill, pensive vibe that i love about a 40 track but the lyrics truly speak to me. when so far gone dropped, from the second i heard this track i knew i’d have it on repeat for a long time. in particular one of my favourite lines that has always stuck with me and still speaks to me today is “..and i cant even find the perfect brush to paint what’s going through my mind..” i relate to this song and especially that line on so many levels. I’ve always had a hard time conveying whats going through my mind to all the people around me. But this track, and all of drake’s tracks help me do that through his lyrics because he truly is the one rapper that is the most relatable for me

      -Jyoti B. (@jyoti024)

    • dunknow

I know 99% of the lyrics of every Drizzy song………….

    • http://twitter.com/DekaArab Dee™

“Don’t be impatient when it takes too long Or drink it all even when it tastes to strong
I gotta feel alive, even if it kills me Promise to always give you me, the real me” ‘Light Up’ – Drake

Omg this lyrics speaks beyond comprehensibly for others. Its more than just words its the feelings i get behind listening to it. I swear to god just listening to him say this leaves an echo in my ear. It makes me look at the brighter things in light, wait and let it sink through dont make decisions to fast or even let the emotions get the better of you. Show your true colors and always live in the moment. This songs is just vibrant and is one track that i cant play forever! Drakes talent speaks the minds of others and what they feel. Its makes me want to follow my dreams and accept that things could come true. And just having this poster is one step. Thanks again OVOXO <333 Mwaah

    • http://www.twitter.com/REALsarina REALsarina

My favourite Drake song is Look What You’ve Done. Ever since he’s been rapping, Drake has been telling us stories; many of which we don’t really understand. The Calm, Say What’s Real, FEAR, Successful; all portray many stories that meant a lot to him. Those stories highlighted his mother, his uncle and 40; the three main people in his life. After listening to all his mixtapes and albums, we begin to develop a characterization of Drake. We start to put the pieces together but still unsure if we’re headed in the right direction. Putting out his second album, Drake humbled himself to relate to us fans. Putting aside all the money and the fame, he tells us the story in depth. The puzzle pieces that we were missing finally appear as Drake reveals it all in this track. He shares with us the most important things in his life. Since we all are human, we can definitely relate to some things Drake is talking about in this song. The song is so powerful with lots of meaning to it. This song isn’t just a song, it’s a piece of art that has been painted by Drake’s life.

    • Rachey

My favourite song by Drake I think is look what you’ve done , at the moment. It tells a memory just like a story and it flows so well and is s fluent in th eway that it’s put together. It shows Drake’s progress from when he was living with his mom and the troubles that the went through and the hardshops…and that’s compared to the stage he’s at in his life now. He shows his gratefulness throughout and really appreciates his mum fully just like I do. Either that or a line from ‘Kareoke’

    • Olivia Garcia

Wow….I don’t think I have a Favorite Drake song they are all really good! I Love them all but the one song that comes to mind right now is “Look What You’ve Done” the 1st time u heard that song I had tears in my eyes because it’s such a personal song about Drakes Life. The one thing I Love about him is that he is not scared to show his real emotions like most men are. Thanks Team Drizzy for Giving us Fans a chance to win this Poster.

    • Liliana

One of my absolute favorite songs by Drizzy would definitely be The Winner. The song is full of confidence and puts you in an amazing mood. And everything he says is true, he deserves this shit.

    • Paven Sanghera

Omg i cant just pick one!! I listen to all of his songs sooooooo much and its impossible to pick one because all of them are sooooooo amazing!!!!! I guess i will pick “Look What You’ve Done” because it shows how drake really loves his family and he appreciates everyone who has helped him! Its just such an emotional song, thats one thing i love about drake sooo much is thats his songs are really relatable and there all soo meaningful unlike the other shit you hear today!! i would really LOVE to win a poster, please and thanks =)

    • http://twitter.com/4rmSteff_2U Steffany

Its honestly hard to pick only one song I love but if I had to pick my favorite Drake song would have to be Fear off of So Far Gone, I’ve never heard a song that’s so real every verse it more powerful then the next and touches me in my heart. The fact that he can open up his life to his fans like that and not be afraid of what ppl will think shows how strong of a person he is and I love that about him. This is the first song I heard when I turned 23 because I knew it would be a great year and it was and I like to give some credit to the comfort Drakes music brings to me. Love everything about this song especially the beat, the song is flawless! ” So I never actually am alone, I just always feel alone”<—Best Line… Love Drake

    • http://twitter.com/kupfcake Katie Kupfcake

Although I cannot choose just one song as my favorite, “Ransom” holds a very high spot on my list. It was one of the very first Drake songs I had ever heard, I was instantly hooked. In an Entertainment Weekly Interview from August, Drake addresses how his music acts as time markers for people. He says “I think what people miss are the time markers… You may have had a different girlfriend at that time or not graduated from school yet. Life may have been simpler”. For me, “Ransom” is definitely a time marker. Aside from being extremely catchy and full of energy; whenever I listen to it I am reminded of the days when I was first introduced to Drake. It was a time when my life took a turn for the better because of him. I am forever in debt to Drake and all of his songs, not just “Ransom”, for being able to help me remember specific points in my life that were enriched because of his music.

    • YOLOOO

“I hate calling the women bitches but the bitches love it.” -Drake… this line is so trill!

    • Katherine

“Want to know a secret? Somebody out there can’t stop thinking about you. You are beautiful, don’t ever believe differently.”

this lyric always gives me chills!! Drake is the type of man u don’t see everyday! the way he talks about women and how much he loves them.he believes tht a woman is beautiful in her own ways. im only 16 years old but… i kno tht Drake is a real man! he’s a sensitive guy, i love tht about him. his honesty drives me crazy. when he raps/sings he talks about his everyday life, he doesnt make any shit up. he loves n respects women! most guys dont give a damn about women.. but Drake has a sensitive side to him. Winning this poster will mean the world to me. i always support tht OVO n tht XO! he inspires me in so many different ways! there are no other ways for me to express my love for this amazing and talented man! i havent seen him live or anyything which is my dream. been supporting Team Drizzy, YMCMB from day one! hope to win! Driizzy Drake til the death of me!<3 – thx

    • http://twitter.com/IslaNunez Isla Nunez

This was a hard choice, but my favorite Drake verse would be, “We live in a generation of, not being in love, and not being together But we sure make it feel like we’re together Because we’re scared to see each other with somebody else” – “Doing It Wrong. ” Probably one of the realest lyrics ever. I can relate to this so much and it made me not feel so alone, like he was going through the same thing i was. It made me realize the way the way i reviewed things with this guy and made me understand things. Drake lyrics aren’t just lyric, they tell a story.

    • Courtney T.

My favorite Drake song would have to be The Calm. I can feel the emotion behind that song every single time I listen to it and it just never gets old or loses its touch. I also feel like I can relate to a lot of things he says in that song and I tend to live by that quote he says 40 ‘s mom always says, “Dont ask permission hit ask forgiveness.” any time I’m mad or sad or feeling any type of way that’s the song that helps me get through the tough times which is something I’ll always love about Drake and that song.

    • CC

To be honest, picking just one song to pick is pretty tough. All of Drake’s music is from the heart and is true. Doing It Wrong is probably one of my favorites from his new album Take Care. However, The Calm is also one of my favorites from his older music. Doing It Wrong I can relate to so much, it’s about two people who keep going back to each other when they know it isn’t right, and end up lying to one another. That was pretty much my life for a while, hearing that song makes me think about my past and where I am now. It’s crazy how things change when you let go. The Calm is another one of my favorites because it is so real. Whenever I listen to it I can picture in my head everything he is saying. I can also relate when he says “to make everybody happy I think I would need a clone” and when he says “I know you like to worry it’d be better if you don’t”. This song also shows a side of him that we hadn’t seen or heard all that much yet. It is talking about the down sides that come with fame. I also just want to say thank you to Team Drizzy for giving us this chance. You all are legit, it’s great.

    • Kayla Mehdi

It is EXTREMLY hard for me to chose one song, but if I absolutely had to it would be “The Calm” which is also Drake’s favorite song by himself. The emotion it gives off is so powerful. It is so well structured lyrically as well as the instrumental, which kind of makes you feel the emotion he felt during this state of confusion and depression he was in. The song again, is just so powerful. The line “They call this shit the calm. Yea, but I’m the furthest thing from calm” is honestly one of my favorite rap lines of all time. It means so much to me because usually rappers never ever let people see this side of them. They always want to be known as the chill, careless people who don’t give a shit about anything but thats not Drake. Thats not who he is and he is showing us that it is ok to express yourself in the way that maybe not all rappers or even all people express themselves in. Drake said in an interview: “I think I did a great job with this song, because when I play it back I can relive all that negative energy, I can relive that moment.” He literally poured all his emotion, everything he was feeling in the moment of time into this song and it puts you in a place no other song can put you. You feel a real connection to Drake. A connection you cant feel with any other song by any other rapper. How? I never got how he can put a group of words together in such a beautiful, heart warming, intelligent way. He truly has a gift that I, and all of #TeamDrizzy enjoys and realizes. I would die to win the poster. Thank you for making such an amazing website too, by the way! ♫♪ “The Calm” “Uh, I’m just so far gone, october’s own, Please leave me alone. Drunk off champagne screamin’ in the phone.See my house is not a home, fuck is goin’ on. Where did we go wrong, where do we belong. Caught up in the game and it’s one I can’t postpone. Meaning if it rains I’m the one it’s raining on. When my diamond chain is on still nothing set in stone. Women borrow sweaters that I spray with my cologne. And tell me don’t forget ‘em and I promise that I won’t. Feelin’ so distant from everyone I’ve known. To make everybody happy I think I would need a clone.Places we get flown, parties that we’ve thrown.I’ve done more for this city then these rappers that have blown. It’s only been 3 Years look at how I’ve grown.I’m just in my zone, I call this shit the calm.Yea, but I’m the furthest thing from calm.Dedicated to my mom, and I swear my word is bond.Everything will be ok and it won’t even take that long. You can see it in my face or even read it on my palm.Leader of the new school it’s proven and it’s known.I’m sittin’ in a chair but in the future it’s a throne.I know you like to worry it’ll be better if you don’t cause…You know, everything gone be alright, I promise. Apologize to you know, to put ya’ll in this position and vent to ya’ll but…40 mom always say, “Don’t ask permisson, just ask forgiveness” You know, so… forgive me. Uh, And life is so insane, look what I’ve became, tryna make a name. All my first dates are interrupted by my fame. Because every picture taken is a fan that you can gain. They love it when you smile unaware that it’s a strain. It’s a curse you gotta live with when you born to entertain. Women need attention therefore women will complain.Develop hatred for men and say that your the one to blame. Tryna enjoy myself with Taz in miami at the game. I just wish he knew how much it really weighed like dwayne. It’s a weight that’s on my chest whoever spottin’ me is playin’. So I’m liftin’ all alone try not to get a sprain. Hopin’ western union doing currency exchange. Cause my dad called and got me feelin’ guilty and ashamed. Like, how I had a Rolls and I went and got a Range. And he payin’ for his cigarettes with dollars and some change. Damn, and I could only feel his pain. Cause in memphis tennessee there’s only so much to attain. So I’m fillin’ out the form at the counter once a-gain. He say he love me I just hope he doesn’t say that shit in vain. I’m why yo girl heart is in a slang. Call me heartbreak Drake I’m the hardest one to tame. As a man I’m just honest as a artist I’m a king. With my own set of problems that be sittin’ on my brain. Yea, And see this is the thang. What they viewing as braggin’ is the way that I maintain. The shit I write while staring out the window of a plane. Is the single handed reason I Remain… Me, Yea… Uh, I said I call this shit the calm. But I’m the furthest thing from calm.I swear I’m puttin’ on but they always wanna ask what type of act you puttin’ on like… Man. <3<3<3 My life!

    • http://twitter.com/marimars572 Maria

It’s hard to choose my favorite Drake song, but I keep coming back to The Calm. He truly pours out his emotions in that song. It has such great meaning to me… The music beat and lyrics are so powerful. cause you could truly feel all the emotion in that song. He also refers to a part of this on Successful and the Ride- Apartment 1503 where the Calm was recorded.

“I’m just so far gone, October’s own, please leave me alone, drunk off champagne screamin in the phone, see my house is not a home. Fuck is going on. Where did we go wrong? Caught up in the game and it’s one I can’t postpone”

I’m just in my zone, I call this shit the calm…Yeaah, but I’m furthest thing from calm”

      This song gives me chills!!!!
      @marimars572

    • Jauntavia

My favorite Drake song is Fear. He’s saying know who I am, get to know the Real Me and don’t be afraid of who you think I’ll become. He’s always going to keep it 100 (Promise to always give you me, the real me) and that’s what I love so much. He’s not going to rap about what every one expects to hear. It’s HIS story. It’s just so unique in its own little way. I love it <3

    • Kamaria Banks

My favorite drake verse would have to be “I’m really tryna make it more than what it is, cause everybody dies but not everybody lives.” This is my favorite verse because the meaning behind it means so much to me. The verse is saying that everyone is going to die someday, and that you should make the most out of your life. People don’t also live their life to fullest like they should, and some people die without doing so. This verse reminds me to live ever day to the fullest, don’t take life for granted, and to go out and achieve my goals/dreams!

    • flowerk95

Although all of Drake’s songs are heartfelt and amazing, one that I really love is Club Paradise. From the first time I heard it back in September 2011, I was intrigued. Drake’s voice just sounds so pure and full of emotion on the track and the lyrics, I feel, truly say what he feels. I thought this song would make it onto Take Care for sure, but I guess he decided to keep it unreleased. I guess the song did mean something to him since he named his tour Club Paradise. Great beat, great rhythm, great lyrics, great sound.

    • Liz Finelli

My favorite drake song has to be Fear.
The first song by Drake that I had ever heard was Best I Ever Had, but Fear was really the song that sparked my love for Drake. When I first heard Fear, I couldn’t get it out of my head. Drake is so real when he raps, and goes further than the stereotypical rapper. He shows everyone that he isn’t just some rapper that only talks about girls and money. Drake has always been open to telling his life stories through his music, especially in Fear

    • http://twitter.com/MCLambLuvJB ƸӜƷ Kayla ƸӜƷ

OMG this is hard I mean Drake has sooo manny great songs. Its hard to pick one , but one that is my favorite for the moment is Practice. Thats my song, Anytime i hear it I have to dance to it. lol I would say my favorite Drake verse would have to be :
” But you could miss me with all that,Diss me then crawl back, I really wish ya’ll will fall back, But gettin rich suppose to solve that,”. I loved this verse from Lust For Life because alot people diss Drake and think he’s soft when he’s just telling his story. And Look now he’s famous and on Top. One of the baddest rappers in the game. To win this poster would mean the world. Please pick me , i would be so happy.

    • Jenea Yedlin

I love every single one of drake’s songs. The emotion he pours out is beyond explainable. The Calm and Fear always come extremely close, and just puts me into a certain zone when I hear them. I actually cried the first time I heard them. But one song that has just always stuck out, is Congratulations.

I know it’s not exactly the same as those two, and more upbeat, but it puts me in such a good mood. I feel like he was so raw, and just had such a loveable quality about him. I also feel like it was right when he started to rise in fame, and he just sounds so fresh and eager. I’m also a freshman, and ever since I heard the song a couple years ago, I always said I would play that non stop on my graduation day!

But overall I just wanna say I have so much love and respect for him. I’ve never met him, but have been to one of his concerts, which was one of the greatest memories in my life. I also feel like I don’t know the most about him, but like I have a deeper connection to him. Maybe cause were both black and jewish Lol :)

But anyways thanks so much team drizzy and my fingers will be crossed…

      OVOXO til we overdose….

      Jenea

    • Tyler Carroll

Tough one depending on my mood, but a staple is definitely Paris Morton Music/verse on Aston Martin Music. Almost two minutes full of bars. Crazy…love the one verse songs that last that long. My favorite Drake song would have to be “Little Bit”..i absolutely love this song, this song made me fall for Drake’s music, thats wen i really started getting into him. I listened to the rest of his music and i was suprised actually..i love how he mixed it up..hip hop and r&b even doing some singing. His voice is heavenly, all his songs are amazing, but this song in particular came out during the time when i was..feeling a certain way,”u could teach me many things..im just scared to learn a lesson………it feels so right but its just so wrong…”, that verse still gets to me whenever i hear this song. It helped me make the right choice..thank you Drake lol

My favorite Drake song is “Doing it wrong.” Especially the lyric “We live in a generation of not being in love.” This song is so true to what people feel in their real life relationships.

“Discussing life and all our common goals – Smart kids that smoke weed, honor roll. Look how the champagne diamonds glow, fine dining pour another glass when the wine is low. I’m in the crib stacking money from here to the ceiling, whatever it is I got – its ther rappers getting that inferior feeling. EI hope you feel it on your soul, spiritual healing!”- Drake 9AM in Dallas
      The realest he ever said!

“We live in a generation of not being in love and not being together, but we sure make it feel like we’re together cause we’re scared to see each other with somebody else.” That HAS to be my FAVORITE lyric ever from him. I enjoy this verse because it relates to alot of the things I see wrong with love. He’s telling me to be truthful with love & if you really don’t love someone then why are you with them? We’re basically keeping each other company when we don’t even want to be around each other. Hopefully I’m chosen to win this poster. It’s things like this that mean alot to people like myself. OVO ;)

“I’m bout to roll me a blunt of my list of regrets, burn it all, burn it all, I’m starting it fresh…”

“everything gone be alright, I promise” – The Calm. This line has seriously save me when i was to ready to give up & it still saves me to this day, it’s like when i hear it i feel like he’s talking to me telling me like, even though everything i’m doing at that time is just going wrong & i feel myself slipping into a depression, that everything IS going to be alright no matter what i’m going through, that it’s going to be okay at the end of the day, and it is.

One of my favorite Drake verses would have to be a verse Houstatlantavegas: “She lives in a mindset that I could never move to/until you find yourself it’s impossible to lose you/because I never had you/although I would be glad to.” This song has a hypnotic feel & is one of the ones that made me fall in love with him as an artist in the first place. (Houstatlantavegas is even my location on twitter!) I adore him as a singer and a writer, & this song & verse definitely shows how good of a singer/songwriter he is. So Far Gone was an incredible mixtape, & the songs on it still get played frequently on my iPod, especially Houstatlantavegas.

I have to say that I love many of Drake’s songs, but one song that really speaks to me has to be “Doing it Wrong”. I feel like when I hear this song it seems like Drake really feels what he says. When I first heard this song on his album I cried because I felt as if he was speaking to me. This song gets to me every time I hear it, it seems as if he is really crying and that just gets to me because it’s as if I am feeling what he felt at that moment that he wrote the song. I love how he puts meaning into his lyrics and into the way he sings not only “Doing it Wrong” but every single song he sings. Well I would love to win this poster but if I don’t I am glad I tried and Thank you Team Drizzy!!<33

Wow. This is hard…. But I have to go back to what sold me on Drake: “A Night Off”. That voice…. Gives me goose bumps. His true, empecable talent lies in his rhymes and flows, but the fact he can sing the way he does, it truely gets me. (And the fact that “A Night Off” is followed by “Say What’s Real” on SFG shows his range and he’s amazing, blows everyone out the water.)

My other favorite songs and rhymes are: “Fall For Your Type” -his full complete version- not Jamie’s, “Paris Morton Music”, “Shut It Down”, “Unforgettable”, “Under Ground Kings”, “The Zone”.

“And all those girls that played me; Eat your muthaf*ckin heart out; it’s Drizzy”

Drake’s verse in Aston Martin Music is special. Not only how he introduces it with the singing part of his hook, but then the lyrically flawless verse that follows.

    • @SimDrakeGYOLO

By far TeamDrizzy this is the hardest contest you guys have put up as I love all his song it’s really quite hard to choose just one…
The calm is an amazing song and it’s the song that started it all, it was recorded by drake about the stress the surrounded him, even in his recording career, it was all recorded at night, In the song Drake said things like- “Please leave me alone / Drunk off champagne, screaming in the phone / See my house is not a home, fuck is going on? / Where did we go wrong, where do we belong?” Despite all the chaos and struggle that surrounded his personal life, Drake knew that his music would carry him through it in the end. It’s a hard life, but one he has to deal with: “I’m just in my zone, I call this shit the calm / Yeah, but I’m the furthest thing from calm.” Another song would be “The Resistance” This is such an amazing song it has such an amazing and smooth RnB hook. The song was towards his old friends and his haters it also shows how Drake’s career has already taken off and he’s now being overwhelmed by his newfound fame. In the song he says that he’ll take advantage of all the fame he receives with his music career. “What am I afraid of? / This is supposed to be what dreams are made of / But people I don’t have the time to hang with / Always look at me and say the same shit / They say you promised me you would never change.” The ride is another song it has an angst-filled vibe and is actually also Drake’s favourite song off of Take Care. He opens by boldly declaring, “I hate when people say they feel me, man. I hate that shit.” Its amazing and beautiful song, drizzy goes on to explain this idea throughout the song, describing his past and present life and elaborating on how no one can truly relate to him unless they’ve lived his life and been in his shoes. As he says at the end of the first verse, “It’s feeling like you own every place you choose to be at now / Walking through airport security with your hat down / Instead of getting a pat down, they just keep on / Saying that they feel you, nigga.”
These three songs are what he has experienced at different stages of his life… and it’s amazing to hear about what he has been through, it’s not as easy as it looks.
These song have such emotions and it’s just amazing… you can’t even explain how you feel when you listen to these songs. You will only experience how I feel when you listen to this song. It put you in an amazing mood.

It’s so hard to pick a favourite Drake song or verse.. but I’m gonna say Lust For Life.

It was 1 of the first songs of his that I stumbled across besides “Replacement Girl” and “Best I Ever Had”..up until then I didn’t really know much about Drake.
When I heard this song.. I just felt like he was piercing through me with his words, the beat and the way he sings “throw your ones up in the air.. throw your ones up in the air for her..” he sounds so vulnerable.. and real.
The lyrics are so honest and up until this point like I said I didnt know much about Drake but to hear him sounding so real..and speaking from the heart like that, something I have not heard in a very long time in an artist really touched me.

“What I tend to do is to think of today as the past..its funny when you’re coming in first but you hope that you last.. you just hope that it lasts.. ”

      His play on words >>>

I just love the effect this song had and still has on me. I can be having the worst day and everything is going wrong and just sitting down.. being still and listening to this..will calm me, relax me and I zone out to the point where I’m not present in the harsh reality I was in before. Its hard to explain but this was the first song that has ever been able to do that for me. Music has become more of an important feature in my life.. it takes me away from reality whenever I need to escape and if no one else understands what I’m going through.. I know music does and always will and this is really comforting. This is the song that made me go back and research Drake and really see what he was about..and I’m so happy I did. This song did a lot for me..

I love Drake not because of what his music sounds like, or what its like to ‘go awf’ to it in a club or in my bedroom lol..
but the real reason I love it and love him.. is because of how his music makes me feel <3

“One of us goes in and we all go through it” is my favorite Drake Quote. From Headlines. I have it tattooed on my back. It means a lot to me being from Toronto myself, and now that I’m away I am realizing my family is everything to me more and more. When my mum went for surgery this year and we really all went through it together. I also moved back to the States for work, and that was another thing we all had to go through together. No matter what any of us goes into, we all go through it together. And I thank Drake for being honest in his music. Thats why we can all relate in our own way.

    • Elina

even thought its not really drakes song, he just features on it, but even so my favorite drake verse is; “everybody dies, but not everybody lives ahh”. that verse gets me every single time! especially when im watching the video loool. however my favorite drake song would either have to be im ready for you, karaoke, shot for me, over my dead body, best i ever had or club paradise

    • Faith

Drakes entire verse in Round Of Applause would have to be my favorite. Its so catchy and you can tell he put a lot of thought into it, I love it! I have many favorite Drake lyrics but that on really sticks out to me.

When I saw today’s question, I spent a hour evaluating all of the possibilities. My mind went through songs all the way from Room for Improvement to Take Care. I came to the conclusion that my favorite Drake song would have to be The Calm off So Far Gone. I chose this song because of the lyrics, the sound and how much I relate to it. The moment it starts I get into a zone whereby I concentrate purely on the song and on nothing else. A particular favorite lyric of mine is ‘Where do we belong?’ and when I heard that I was like, did he just read my mind? That was a surreal moment. To me a good song always has emotional attachment and when it comes on five or so years later, you instantly go back to the emotions you felt when you first listened to it. The Calm reminds me off driving to school and listening to this on my iPod and thinking ‘I’m going to make sure this day is going to be incredible.’ I also think about those late Friday nights when it just wasn’t my week and then I listen to the calm and all of the personal emotions that come flooding through. It is truly one of the best songs I have ever heard.

    • Keeno

My favorite song by Drake is easily “The Resistance”. It speaks to me. Teaches me how to be me, the real me, the one that doesn’t change. The one that grew up. Moved on from things, met new people and tried new things. It shows me that I need to keep the old, important things intact, even if they don’t feel it, they should know i’m still there for them. I promise people things, I stick to most of the time but usually things happen or come up and things change. For better or for worse, I’m still me. I’ve went through life with some doubts, hanging heads and struggles. But I try my best. Trust me I try my best. Just like i’ve been trying so hard to get this poster, i keep trying and trying until i get what i want and i succeed. So thank you. Much respect. Take Care.

I can’t really pick a favorite song by Drake because I absolutely love ALL of them, but I can pick my favorite quotes/verses. One of the newer verses I like is, ” It’s like ’09 in your basement and I’m in love with Nebby, and i still love her but it fell through because I wasn’t ready, and your back hurt and your neck hurt and you smokin heavy, and I sit next to you and lecture you because those are deadly. Then you ash it and we argue bout spendin money on bullshit, you tell me I’m just like my father, my one button you push it, now its fuck you, I hate you, I move out in a heartbeat, then I leave out and you call me, you tell me that your sorry, you love me and I love you, my heart hurts mine does too.” This particular part of Look What You’ve done reminds me of the mom and sister back in the day. An oldish verse I like is, “Ass low, ass low, I always request you, you go get fucked up and we just show up at your rescue,Carry you inside, get you some water and undress you, I give you my all and the next morning you’ll forget who, Or why or how or when, Tonight is probably, about to happen all over again, And she live in a mindset that I could never move to, Until you find yourself it’s impossible to lose you, Because I never had you although I would be glad to, I probably go and tattoo your name on my heart, I swear, I start to think that I’m going crazy.” From Houstalantavegas. I also like,” I ain’t never graduated, I ain’t got no cap and gown, but the girls in my class who were smart enough to pass be at all my fuckin parties grabbin money off the ground.” From 4 My Town.
