This challenge will include consecutive posts with many of you wearing different merchandise purchased from Drake’s previous tour or the OVO store. Every month, we will be feature a different item that reflects that month’s theme. This month’s Merch of the Month is any Black OVO T-shirt.
The reason why we picked the Black OVO T-shirt for this month is because it is the most recognized item by all Drake fans. This symbol represents a start of a trend and a new era for music. This owl also symbolizes hard work, motivation, and a community that we all belong to. The OVO Owl made its debut on the October’s Very Owl blog in May 2011 when Oliver posted a photo in physically holding what seems to be a light purple owl with a hint of gold shimmer on its body, and surrounding the eyes. Also, the angle that the owl is facing is very identical to the OVO Owl logo.
