Back in 2009 after dropping So Far Gone, Drake performed at New York’s S.O.B.’s. Because of their 30th anniversery, Drake reflected back on his first S.O.B.’S show with XXL, here’s what he had to say:
“When I was at S.O.B.’s, it was a lot of nerves, I was nervous. Not only that, but it just had so much pressure behind the show. Not only that, but I had no band. I had no sense of what makes a great performance. Being able to watch Wayne for the last couple of years, then going out with Jay to Europe, watching Trey [Songz] grow, watching just the people around me grow performance-wise, I’ve gotten better and more comfortable,” Drake explained. “That’s the key. You feeling comfortable so the room feels comfortable.”
He’s come such a long way! You can check out Drake’s S.O.B.’s performance below, the rest is after the jump!
After wrapping up the Club Paradise tour in San Diego on Sunday, Drake went out and celebrated at On Broadway Nightclub. Check out the video of Drake partying it up above, and some photos below!
Drake, along with John Slattery and Dave Franco, will cover the April issue of GQ magazine! The issue is GQ’s first ever “Style Bible” and will focus on giving men advice on how to look their best. Drake‘s full cover story will be available HERE on the 14th but for now, you can check out an excerpt from the interview below. Drake in a suit? “Goodness gracious!”
“There’s just a time where it was like, just getting pu**y. Where I was in that sort of ‘I’m young, I’m going to disconnect from my emotions and just do what everyone else tells me I should do and just be a rapper and have my fun.’ And for me as a person, it just doesn’t work. I just need something else. The seconds after a man reaches climax, that’s like the realest moment of your life. If I don’t want you next to me in that fifteen, twenty seconds, then there’s something wrong.” – Drake, on growing out of his promiscuous phase
Another sneak peek into the “Take Care“ music video and Aubrihanna is in full effect! The video is also said to have shots of a bird, bull, and fish moving to the beat of the music, and a group of male tribal dancers. Check out the photos below.
