While doing my morning hip-hop blog run I came over a post about an upcoming South Carolina rapper named Sadie Hawkins. I liked what I heard and found her video of the HYFR freestyle she did which is on her mixtape, Girl Interrupted. It’s a nice twist with the simplified beat and piano running over where the beat would be.
First off, I was waiting to use this picture for days. Moving on.
Nicki Minaj just tweeted out the tracklist to her upcoming album, which featires a track titled “Champion” with Drake on it. Accompanying the YMCMB duo are Nas and Young Jeezy. This should be great cool. I know Megan probably is suffering a heart attack right now. Oh and I forgot 2 Chainnzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (second thing I was waiting to do in a post), is on Nicki’s album too.
Oliver just posted the dates to the Club Paradise Tour on the OVO blog. You probably have seen the date already but just in case you can find it after the jump.
Sidebar: We’ll try to have more information on dates as we get them so get ready for the tour that also will bring you Kendrick Lamar and that jiggy n*, that PMF, that trill n*, better known as A$AP Rocky to a town hopefully near you.
The Boss, Rick Ross, himself just announced that on Friday we’ll be in for a treat. Along with his mixtape, Rich Forever, we’ll be getting the title track. Rich Forever will feature French Montana and Drake himself. It’ll be interesting to see how the song is put together between the three.
UPDATE: Stay Schemin is the real name of the song. Song and video coming tomorrow Friday, 1/6/2011, at 3:05 pm.
Complex just posted their list of the 25 best songs of 2011 and Drake makes a few appearances. His featuring on Rick Ross’s Made Men landed at and I’m One On grabbed number 2. As for solo fronts, Drake’s Marvin’s Room is number 7. Take Care also made #3 on their best albums of the year with The Weeknd’s House Of Balloons placing #1. Congrats to both on 2011. Check out which other notable Drake affiliates made the cut of songs of the year:

This is great news! OG Ron C and former Swishahouse partner Michael Watts have come together to form Chopped Not Slopped Entertainment. After the year that OG Ron C has had with dropping Chop Care and Chop The Throne it’s awesome to see that it’s going to a bigger stage. Watch video from The Source after the jump to catch the man himself talk about the new label and who’s already on board.
Welcome to the new site. We’ve been working on this for a while now. You’ll see everything to be in better order, work better and just feel easier to use. Bringing in the new year in a strong way. We’ve also added a lyrics section where you’ll find all of Drake’s lyrics soon. There well also be more posts on Drake events with clearer information. Oh and for anyone involved in the project, it was finished and sent off today. Thank you for you the help!
