Its about time are words that definitely come to mind at this point. Though Drake was not in attendance to this years Juno Awards, he was able to take home his 3rd Juno. Drake was able to snag the Juno for Rap Recording of The Year beating out Kardinal Offishall, Classified, and others. Congrats Drake, as we are most proud! Next up, 2013 Grammy’s. I hope you still have that speech.
First off, I was waiting to use this picture for days. Moving on.
Nicki Minaj just tweeted out the tracklist to her upcoming album, which featires a track titled “Champion” with Drake on it. Accompanying the YMCMB duo are Nas and Young Jeezy. This should be great cool. I know Megan probably is suffering a heart attack right now. Oh and I forgot 2 Chainnzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz (second thing I was waiting to do in a post), is on Nicki’s album too.
Drake, along with John Slattery and Dave Franco, will cover the April issue of GQ magazine! The issue is GQ’s first ever “Style Bible” and will focus on giving men advice on how to look their best. Drake‘s full cover story will be available HERE on the 14th but for now, you can check out an excerpt from the interview below. Drake in a suit? “Goodness gracious!”
“There’s just a time where it was like, just getting pu**y. Where I was in that sort of ‘I’m young, I’m going to disconnect from my emotions and just do what everyone else tells me I should do and just be a rapper and have my fun.’ And for me as a person, it just doesn’t work. I just need something else. The seconds after a man reaches climax, that’s like the realest moment of your life. If I don’t want you next to me in that fifteen, twenty seconds, then there’s something wrong.” – Drake, on growing out of his promiscuous phase

Andre 3000 recently phoned into Fader for an interview and touched on many subjects. One of these subjects included how newcomers like Drake have inspired him. We all know Drake initially wanted Andre 3000 on Thank Me Later and while this didn’t happen he was able to secure him for Take Care. I personally love The Real Her and definitely would like to see these two collabe again in the near future. Read the excerpt below.
Andre 3000 On Being Inspired By Drake: “Now I talk to Drake, and I know he had to be like 10 when he was listening to what we were doing. You just never know who’s listening until you hear a connection. I didn’t even know Drake dug my music, I just liked him as a rapper because I felt he had a balance. I didn’t even know that he grew up listening to me. But it’s cool to know that it’s a real lineage thing. I’m happy to see Kanye and Wayne and Drake and all these new artists. They inspire me in a way because they reach back and they say, ‘Hey, we want to get you on these songs.’”

You may remember a song leaking a while back that went a little something like “R-I-P to the girl you used to see her days are over…” that was sung by Drake. Many of us have it in our ipods saved as “Im Ready For You”, but that song was written for Rita Ora by Drake and it is her new UK single titled “R.I.P.” which features Tinie Tempah. Check the video above to hear what Rita has to say about the song.
On the song Camera’s from Take Care, Drake uses a sample of the song “Calling On You” by Jon B. Jon B sat down with In this video, he discusses being sampled on Drake’s album and his relationship with Drake. Check the above video at the 1:15 mark to see what Jon B. had to say.

Nicki Minaj is the latest artist to cover VIBE magazine and in her exclusive nterview she speaks a little on none other than Drake. Check the Q&A below. Dricki, Dricki, Dricki. Thank you Nicki, I like the clean cut too.
Sidebar: Drake was supposed to cover VIBE as well, but they wouldn’t let him choose him his own wardrobe so he opted out.
On if Drake has a target on his back: “All I know is that Drake is extremely talented and he’s very smart. I don’t think people realize how intelligent he is, so some things are… It’s fun. Some things are hip-hop and that’s what it is. if he does have a target on his back it’s because he’s extremely successful and he makes music people can relate to.”
How has he changed with Take Care? Do you feel like he’s gotten more confident, become more of a tough guy?: “I really don’t think Drake has changed musically. Take Care is a continuation of Thank Me Later. I really don’t feel it’s a leap. His core fans are getting what they love from Drake.”
Do you guys talk about how your handling fame?: “We speak about it all the time, yeah.”
What’s the greatest advice that you’ve given him and that he’s given you?: [laughs] “I told him recently to go back to his clean-cut look. I always tell him what I think girls are going to like. We have a couple of laughs about it and keep it moving. In terms of image, whenever I wear my black hair he’s so happy, He’s like “Yo that’s how I want you to look”. We have more in-depth conversations about the business, but those are confidential.”
Yesterday Drake took the time to visit yet another high school. This time he visited Dreher High School in Columbia, SC. Not only was it a surprise to the students on Tuesday, but he waited until the day before to tell the school administrators his plan to come to visit. Drake once again gave an inspirational speech to the students encouraging them to follow their dreams and stay in school. He also gave out 25 concert tickets to his show that night and stayed for a little bit afterwards to talk to different students. Check out the the photos below, the videoabove and another video after the jump!
